About the project
Hull Museums & Gallery commissioned me to help develop a new, audience-friendly website in line with their new visual branding. The project consisted of an umbrella site for their whole cultural offer, along with eight sub-sites for each of their venues across the city centre.
I was the creative content lead across this ambitious project, collaborating with key stakeholders in marketing, curatorial, learning, design and customer service to deliver the website.

This was a complex, multifacted project in which I:
-
Ran workshops to develop the brand tone of voice, scope website requirements and audience needs, and shape the overall site map and user experience.
-
Conducted a full content and design audit of the existing site.
-
Developed key page templates, user flows and a custom features list based on audience needs and team requirements.
-
Developed a detailed content plan and managed a complex content pipeline involving multiple subject experts and contributors.
-
Wrote copy for c. 150 web pages – including venue info, local history and curated collections content.
-
Managed user testing feedback and website iterations.
