About the project
I was the Lead Writer and Narrative Designer for The Keeper of Measurements – a mobile-based augmented reality adventure at The National Physical Laboratory, created by Arcade.
Designed especially for World Metrology Day, The Keeper of Measurements takes science-loving children on an immersive, story-led journey all around the labs at the NPL. Their mission – should they choose to accept it – is to save the missing SI-Bots from the pesky Croaker and fix the Keeper's Quantometer (a magical measuring device!)
This magical augmented reality adventure takes place through playful dialogue, portal animations and science-themed challenges. As the Lead Writer/Narrative Designer, I collaborated with Arcade to develop the game mechanics, play flow and story world, as well script all of the in-game copy – from character dialogue, to playful narrative objects, to kid-friendly science puzzles.
