About the project

I was the Lead Writer and Narrative Designer for Time Odyssey – a mobile AR adventure game engaging children with museums and ancient artefacts across the UK. The game was created by Arcade XR, with Art Explora and the British Museum.

In the game, children meet the Watchers of the Warp and help a character return to their own timeline by creating a series of magical items inspired by objects in the museum. Think: storytelling meets ancient artefacts meets digital creativity and imagination!

As part of the project team, I helped develop the characters and story, collaborated on the quest and gameplay mechanics and mapped the narrative design to multiple physical environments and museum objects. I also wrote the full script, including character dialogue, narrative cutscenes, story objects and inventory, kid-friendly learning content and UI copy.
